Senaida - Age 68 - Ohkay Owingeh Gabaldon

SENAIDA GABALDON, 68, a resident of Ohkay Owingeh, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Josephine Gabaldon; sister, Geronima Ortiz; brother, Paul Gabaldon; brother-in-law, Richard C. Martinez and nephew, Max Ortiz, Jr. She retired from the Dietary Department at St. Vincent Hospital after 32 years of service; then went to work for the Ohkay Casino Restaurant. Her favorite past time was reading novels, crocheting and spending time with her family making sure no one was forgotten. Ms. Gabaldon is survived by her son, Marvin Gabaldon Sr. and fiancé Kim Horan; sisters, Tonita Gabaldon, Pauline Aguino and husband Robert, Eliza Martinez and JoAnn Cruz and husband Johnny; brother-in-law, P. Max Ortiz, Sr.; grandchildren, Marvin Gabaldon, Jr. Asia Gabaldon and Darren and DeeAnn Cruz; God-child, Myles Thronas, sister-in-law, Tara Gabaldon; a special thank you to her nieces, Denise Thronas and husband Chris, Marcel Povijua and husband Raymond and nephew, Chris Gabaldon and wife Louise whom she was very close to and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Friday, April 6, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Family Home in Ohkay Owingeh. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Monday, April 9, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at the Ohkay Owingeh Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Joseph Ortiz, Bryce Gabaldon, Jude Gabaldon, Darren Cruz, Chris Thronas, Chris Gabaldon, Raymond Povijua, James Calabaza, Robert Krantz, Michael Montoya and Cameron Gabaldon. Honorary pallbearers, Gary Martinez, Myles Thronas, Darius Thronas, Elijah Thronas, Marvin Gabaldon, Jr. Kasia Povijua and Jerod Povijua.
