Sasha Alire

Sasha Jennifer Alire, 29, a resident of Vallecitos, NM passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday March 3, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jose and Alice Alire and her maternal grandparents, Leandro and Asencion Gallegos.

Sasha loved spending time with her family and friends. Especially having mommy time with her son and daughter. She adored her nieces and nephew, she loved to spoil them. She was a strong, open minded, and outspoken person. Being the eldest of seven siblings it came naturally to protect the ones she loved. Above all she wanted to laugh. She would rather laugh than to fight or cry.

Sasha is survived by her son, Josiah Meza; daughter, Samantha Griego; boyfriend, Sammy Griego; parents, Donald and Margaret Alire; brothers, Jared Alire (Veronica), Alex Griego, Miguel Alire (Liliana), Jonathan Alire (Glorie), Brandon Alire (Precious); sister, Estrella Alire and many close relatives including aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A public visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2020 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 4:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Vallecitos, NM on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with a burial to follow at the Vallecitos Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are Sammy Griego, Jared Alire, Alex Griego, Miguel Alire, Jonathan Alire, Brandon Alire, Javier Archuleta, and Jason Gallegos.
