Santiago H. - Age 71 - Pecos Gonzales

SANTIAGO H. (JIMMY) GONZALES, 71, a lifelong resident of Pecos, went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, March 3, 2011. He was a member of the New Mexico Army National Guard with the 525th. Jimmy was a very kind and caring man. He was co-owner of the Rainbow Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cipriano and Celestina Gonzales; brother, Manuel Gonzales and niece, Celestine (Tina) Varela. Mr. Gonzales is survived by his wife, Isabel Gonzales of Pecos; sister, Anna Maria Varela of Pecos; step-sister, Debbie Martinez and her son Toby; niece, Alyssa Roybal; beloved aunts, Clora Ortiz and husband Mariano and Emma Fletcher; step-sons, Steve Medina and wife Lora, Vincent Medina and wife Leslie, Dino Medina and wife Julie and their children and many other relatives and friends. Cremation is being planned. Rosary will be recited on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. at Santa Maria de la Paz in Santa Fe with Mass of Christian burial to follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Rosario Cemetery in Santa Fe with the following serving as honorary pallbearers named are Joe Ortiz, Melvin Ortiz, Danny Ortiz, Justin Medina, Rico Lovato and Pete Ulibarri.
