Santiago Jose Naranjo, 75, a resident of Santa Clara Pueblo passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah and Joe D. Naranjo; daughter, Sarah Viarreal and son-in-law, Johnny Viarreal; sisters, Ariellia Begay and Tonita Naranjo. Santiago is survived by his daughters, Phyllis (Roy) Martinez, Janice Naranjo, Sandra Talache, son, Santiago James Naranjo; sister, Frances (Tony) Herrera; mother of his children and best friend, Patricia Naranjo; grandchildren, Amanda (Nolan) Cruz, Ashley Martinez, Heather (Jeff) Aguino, Amber Naranjo, Jennifer Martinez, April Viarreal, Victoria (Rodney) Archuleta, Johnny (Brianne) Viarreal, Isaiah Viarreal, Marco Talache and Santiago Naranjo Jr.; as well as all his great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous close relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at his daughter Phyllis (Roy) Martinez residence in Santa Clara Pueblo, 215 Roadrunner Rd. South housing desert storm. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at Santa Clara Pueblo Catholic Church, with a burial to follow at the Santa Clara Cemetery.
