Sammy - Age 44 - La Puebla - Serna

SAMMY A. SERNA, 44, a resident of La Puebla, passed away peacefully and is now in the hands of our Lord and his mother on Thursday, August 21, 2014. Annie and Samuel were blessed with their 1st born child, Sammy on June 23, 1970. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie E. Serna; grandparents, Patricia and Victoriano Martinez and Felix and Rita Serna. Sammy is survived by his father, Samuel Serna; son, Adrian Montoya; girlfriend, Shannon Vigil and her kids, Adrian and Alyssa; sister, Rita and husband Michael Archuleta and their children, AnnaLee and Amarissa; brother, Andres Serna and fiancéì Nancy and their sons, Isaiah and Devon and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Sammy was a well-known man who loved everyone and life. He was very generous, kind, funny, loved to talk to everyone and a wonderful man. He had strong faith and loved his handsome nephew and beautiful nieces and will be missed by them. Sammy loved his Carm Carm, Adrian and Alyssa. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and fun times with his baby brother. Sammy loved his recent trip to Sturgis with his cousins and close friends. Sammy will be missed and never forgotten!! The family will like to give gratitude to and all the family and friends for all your thoughts, prayers, and all your generosity. A rosary will be recited on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 4:30 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Española with a memorial mass to be celebrated immediately after at 5:00 p.m. Private burial will take place at a later time. The family of Sammy A. Serna has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
