It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Salomon War. He was born in Espanola, NM, on June 2, 1933, to Margarito and Sirila War.
Salomon is preceded in death by his first wife Bennie, brothers Armando and Alex War, sisters Nora Maestas and Andreita Espinoza.
Salomon is survived by his loving wife Maria Elena; daughters Grace McEachern and family and Gloria (Darby) Miera and family; sons Salomon & family, Ray (Doris) and family and John (Josephine) and family; sister Virginia Vigil and family; brothers Audoro and family, Margarito (Ida) and family, Archie (Isabel) and family, Tony (Florence) and family; sisters-in-law Mary Moreno, Christine Lujan and Yolanda (Earl); brothers-in-law Tom Lujan and Gil Lujan.
Salomon graduated from Espanola High School. He served in the US Army during Korean War.
Salomon was the proud owner of S & ME Plumbing & Heating till his retirement in 2015.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Audoro War, Salomon War, Ben McEachern, David McEachern, Sam Maestas and Tom Lujan.
A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 8:30 am, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 9:00 am at Sacred Heart Church in Espanola, NM. Burial will follow at 11:00 am at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.
