Sally Age - 81 - Alcalde Valencia Tafoya

Sally Valencia Tafoya, 81, a resident of Alcalde, NM passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 7, 2012. She belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary – La Morada de Los Pacheco’s, Lay Health Advisor for the Diabetic Program in Rio Arriba and was an American Legion Member. Sally was preceded in death by her husband Jose Alejandro Tafoya; son, David Michael Tafoya; parents, Jose Cinesio Valencia and Isabelita. Sally is survived by her children: Angela Jester and husband Daniel of Denver, CO, Ernesto Tafoya and wife Ginger of Alcalde, Isabelle Tafoya Banda of Alcalde, Christine Caudillo and husband Brian of Alcalde, Alexander Tafoya of Alcalde, Julie Aragon and husband Daniel of Denver, CO, 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous other loving relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of Devargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at La Morada de Los Pacheco’s with a second rosary to follow at7:00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alcalde. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alcalde with burial to follow at La Villita Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Michael Jester, David John Linde, Adrian DeLeon, Robert Caudillo, Daniel Aragon, Jr. and Bruce Tafoya; honorary pallbearer: Rudy Martinez.
