Ruth L. - age 91 - Dixon Archuleta

RUTH L. ARCHULETA, 91, a resident of Dixon, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orlando Archuleta; parents, Loyda and Juan de la Cruz Lucero; brothers, Isaac and Lawrence and sisters, Susana and Josephine. Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, sibling, aunt and friend. Her drive to live allowed her to continue driving her truck just prior to being put on hospice, where she remained for 4 years. As long as she was sitting on her front porch that’s what would give her peace and comfort. Her favorite things were dancing and singing to her dogs. She will be dearly missed. Rest in peace. Mrs. Archuleta is survived by her daughter, Crucita Flores; brothers, Ruben Lucero and wife Corina and Lee Salazar and wife Beva, Dennis Salazar and wife Florence; sisters-in-law, Juanita Lopez, Theresa Martinez, Barbara Martinez and husband Aaron, Susie Lucero, Edna Garcia and Bennie Schachter; granddaughters, Nicolle Nieto and husband Joseph, D’nielle Medina and husband Isaac; 8 great-grandchildren, Adriana, Alyssa, MyKayla, Aliah, Tristan, Xzayvier, Zion and Yzabella; son-in-law, Kenny Flores; special friends, Emma Atencio, Rose Campos, Sylvia Herrera and Ramona Gonzales and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Dixon with a wake to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. also at the Presbyterian Church in Dixon. Burial to follow at the Presbyterian Cemetery. The family of Ruth L. Archuleta has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n
