Rudy (Rodolfo) - Age 61 - Rio Chama - Mondragon

RUDY (RUDOLFO) MONDRAGON, 61, a resident of Rio Chama, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013 following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maclovio and Floripa Mondragon; brothers, Gilbert, Larry and Alex Mondragon; sister, Gloria Mondragon and sister-in-law, Rosie Mondragon. Mr. Mondragon is survived by his wife, Margie Gonzales of Española; son, Jerry Mondragon and companion Jenna of Española; step-son, Roger Gonzales and wife Christy of White Rock; daughter-in-law and mother of his grandchildren, Eileen Mondragon of Santa Cruz; grandchildren, Angelique, Joel and Jamie Mondragon, Adrianna and Gabrielle Gonzales of White Rock; sister, Virginia Pacheco; brothers, Ted Mondragon of Arkansas, Eloy Mondragon of Española, Roman and Pilar Padilla of Rio Chama, Albert Mondragon and companion Cathy Martinez of Hernandez and Arnold Mondragon of Hernandez; sisters-in-law, Doreen Mondragon of Española and Leonires Chavez of Chili; brother-in-law, Walter Gonzales of Española; close niece, Molly Martinez of La Mesilla and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of Devargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow to 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez with burial to follow at the San Jose Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Chris, Larry, Arnold, Gilbert and Joel Mondragon and Joe Martinez, Jr. The family of Rudy (Rudolfo) Mondragon has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
