Rudy Vigil

Rudy L. Vigil, 61, a lifelong resident of Rio Chiquito, passed away peacefully following a short illness on Thursday, July 11, 2019.

He was passionate about collecting guns and target shooting with his children. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, riding the RZR, and being around family and friends. One of his greatest joys was being a grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his father, Nelson Vigil; mother, Dora Vigil; grandparents, Salamon & Feliciana Trujillo, Felipe & Felumena Trujillo and Teofilo & Elisa Vigil.

Rudy is survived by his children, Elisha (Lino Jr.) Herrera, Angeleen (John III) Sanders, and Carlos Vigil; siblings, Kevin (Darla) Vigil, Karen (Marcos) Martinez, Velma Dominguez, Becky (Eddie) Cantu, and Lisa (Gabriel) Lopez; a very special uncle, Julian (Helen) Trujillo; grandchildren, Lino III & Faith Herrera and baby Sanders; Godchildren, Rudy Trujillo, Kelly Torres and Desiree Ochoa; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

A public visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory, with a Celebration of Life service to begin at 7:00 p.m. Burial service will be announced as soon as they become available.
