Rudy - Age 73 - Rio Lucio Pacheco

Rudy Pacheco – Age 73 a resident of Rio Lucio passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013 following a lengthy illness. Rudy Pacheco was a man who loved his family, most importantly joking with them and playing cards. He loved fishing and going for wood. Rudy was a man devoted to his community, for many years he was a mardomo for his church San Antonio de Padua and his acequia in Rio Lucio. There was never a conversation he could pass up or get a laugh out of the person he was talking to. He adored his family especially his parnter of over 50 years Gloria. They had five children, eight grandchildren, one great grandson and one great grandson on the way. He also enjoyed all the pets that surrounded his everyday life. He was a man full of life that was sticken by an illness that slowed him down but never took his outgoing spirit. We will miss his jokes and outgoing personality. We love you husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents: Silviano and Telesfora Pacheco; brothers: Arturo and Almo Pacheco; granddaughter, Margaret Griego. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Pacheco of Rio Lucio; daughter, Josephine Lopez and husband Frank of Las Trampas; and their children: Nicole and companion Albert and great-grandson, Damian, James and Ramon; daughter, Theresa Pacheco of Rio Lucio; and her children: Daniel and wife Stephanie and Stephanie and fiancé Johnathan aka (Johnson) all of Albuquerque; son, John Pacheco and wife Amy of La Mesilla; and their kids: Jessica and John Michael; daughter, LouAnn Pacheco of Rio Lucio; son, Kelvin Pacheco and companion Danielle of Española; mother-in-law, Elsie Rodriguez of Rio Lucio; brother and sister, Floyd Pacheco of Santa Fe and Cordy Chase of Denver; best friends: Connie and Pablo Martinez and Helen Graves; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. Rosary will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco. Burial will take place at a later date. The family of Rudy Pacheco has entrusted the care of their beloved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
