Rudy - Age 66 - Chimayo - Montoya, Sr.

RUDY MONTOYA, SR., 66, a lifelong resident of Chimayo, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013 following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Maria Montoya; brother, Jose Montoya and son, Rudy Montoya, Jr. Mr. Montoya is survived by his sons, Norman Archuleta and wife Melissa, David Montoya and Daniel Archuleta; brothers and sisters, Tommy Montoya and wife Valerie, Telesfor Montoya and wife Jeanette, Israel and companion Ruby and Betty and companion Lawrence, Cruzita and companion Jimmy; mother of his children, Margie Archuleta; 11 grandchildren; special niece, Vanessa Montoya and her daughters, Jasmine and MiKayla and numerous nieces and nephews. Public visitation will begin on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a memorial to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at the Nuestra Señora de Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Chimayo with the following serving as pallbearers, Shania Archuleta, DeAnza, Jose Montoya, Kenny Archuleta, Vanessa Montoya and Israel Montoya, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be, Betty M., Jeanelle Lopez, Israel, Sr., Richard Saiz, Leo Archuleta and Nicki Gallegos and all his nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family of Rudy Montoya, Sr. has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
