Ruben - Age 70 - El Guache Anzaldua

RUBEN C. ANZALDUA, 70, a resident of El Guache, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose C. and Aurora Anzaldua; in-laws, Leandro and Octaviana Gallegos. Mr. Anzaldua is survived by his wife, Betty Anzaldua of El Guache; children, Patrick Anzaldua and wife Edna of Hernandez, Ronald Anzaldua of Denver, CO and Becky Serrano and husband Lonnie of Española; grandchildren, Jamie Lee Williams, Patrick James Anzaldua both of Albuquerque, Amberleigh Anzaldua of Las Vegas, Nevada and Nicholas William Anzaldua of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Phoenix, Natayo, Isaiah and Julya; brothers and sisters, Delia Mendoza and husband Juan of Granjeno, Texas, Rene Anzaldua and wife Reit of Castroville, Texas, Reynaldo Anzaldua and wife Margie of Donna, Texas, Yolanda Martinez and husband Sandalio of Donna, Texas, Aurora Garcia and husband Carlos of Austin, Texas, Maria Elena Ovalle and husband Juan of Edinburg, Texas, Norma Anzaldua of Austin, Texas and Joe Anzaldua and wife Aida of McAllen, Texas and many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Española. Burial to follow at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Española with the following serving as pallbearers, Patrick James Anzaldua, Nicholas William Anzaldua, Fernando Anzaldua, Tim Archuleta, Michael Staley and Jeff Aguino. Honorary pallbearers named are, Desi Roybal, Adam Gallegos, Rosie Trevino and Lisa DeRueda. The family of Ruben C. Anzaldua has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
