Roy Dumont Stone, 93, resident of White Rock, was born on January 1, 1923 and went to rest with God on October 28, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Pauline Stone; son, Dale Stone; and grand-daughter, Kathy Wheat. Roy was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of World War II, where he was a photographer. He continued his photography with the Los Alamos National Laboratory until he retired. Mr. Stone participated with his church, loved to sing the hymns of God, and loved gardening. He will be loved and missed by many family and friends. Roy is survived by his loving partner, Bobby Holley; children, Wayne and Tim Stone, and Midge Holley; step-children, Margaret Kennedy, and Ken Brocious; grandchildren, Deborah Cowan, Jerry Wheat, Adam Valdez, Levi Stone, Dillion Stone, Crystal Stone and many great, and great-great grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the White Rock Baptist Church. The family of Roy Dumont Stone has entrusted the care of their loved to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
