Roy Maestas (Courtesy Announcement)

Roy Maestas, 74, of Pueblo, CO went to be with the Lord on November 7, 2018.  He was preceded in death by his son, Ernest Gilbert Maestas; granddaughter, Vanessa Renee Maestas; great grandson, Isaiah; parents, Jacobo and Lydia Maestas; sisters, Dolly Bustos, Marilyn Trujillo and Joann Lucero; mother/father-in-law, Merced and Petrita Quintana and sister-in-law, Angie Torres.  Roy is survived by his spouse, Viola Maestas; children, Ronnie (Valerie) Maestas, Melanie (Wade) Chacon of Bosque Farms, NM and Audrey (Mark) Trujillo; grandchildren, Roy, Shaina, Ernest Jr., Gabriel, Xavier, Darius, Lydia, Tatum and Gemma; great grandchildren, Natalie, Nariah, Maddox and Maverick; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Roy was born in Hernandez, New Mexico where he grew up.  He married his high school sweetheart Viola and soon after moved to Pueblo, Colorado.  Roy retired from CF&I Steel Mill after 38 years.  He enjoyed learning new things.   He was a self taught electrician, carpenter, welder and auto mechanic.  He was a lifelong hunter an avid fisherman and loved spending time at his cabin.  He was also a devoted Denver Broncos fan.  Roy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him dearly.  Visitation prior to services.  Rosary, 6:00 pm Monday, St. Leander Catholic Church.  Mass of the Resurrection, 10:00 am Tuesday, St. Leander Catholic Church.  Internment, Roselawn Cemetery.    The family as entrusted DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory for this courtesy announcement.
