Rosina Ortiz

Rosina L. Ortiz, 70, a resident of El Rito passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ortiz Jr.; daughter, Cecilia Ortiz; parents, Daniel and Margarita Martinez; granddaughter, Sharon Ortiz; siblings, Mary and Gavino Martinez, and Teofilia Salazar; brother-in-law, Guzman Jaramillo, God-son, Orlando “Orlie” Ortiz. Rosina always loved and took joy in the simple things in life, coffee and the daily newspaper while she listened to the radio in the morning always made her relax and made her happy. Family was always most important, nothing made her happier than her grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. She loved just sitting down and watching them play in the simplest ways. Rosina is survived by her children, Nancy and Johnny Ortiz, Ralph Martinez (Phyllis), Joe Ortiz (DeeAnne); grandchildren, Audry Ortiz (Antoine), Angelita Sandoval, Francisco Ortiz, Daniel Ortiz, Breanna Martinez (Antonio); great-grandchildren, Ayden Jensen, Addyson Jensen, Bethany Martinez, Destiny Trujillo, A.J. Trujillo; siblings, Lydia Alvarez (Julio), Porfiria Jaramillo, and Donald Martinez; brothers-in-law, Dellie Salazar, Orlando Ortiz (Cecilia) and sister-in-law, Mary Martinez.  Public Visitation will begin on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada, with a burial to follow at the El Rito Cemetery.  Serving the family as pallbearers are, Francisco Ortiz, Antoine Jensen, Joseph Vasquez, Benjamin Herrera, Richard Gallegos, and Andres Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be, Daniel Ortiz, Angelita Sandoval, Ayden Jensen, and Addyson Jensen. The family of Rosina L.
