Roserita “Rochie” Kidd – 100, a resident of San Juan Pueblo passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011. Roserita spent her career as a nurse working at the Indian Hospital in Albuquerque and at the Española Hospital. She was the manager and part owner of Tewa Indian Restaurant. Roserita loved to sing, she belonged to the Tewa Woman’s Choir. Mrs. Kidd was a very elegant woman. She was preceded in death by her sons: Phillip Mike Padilla and Eloy Andres Padilla; husbands: Joe Padilla and John Kidd; brothers/sisters: Edward, Joe, Josephine and Fred Cata, Ernestine Little and Clara Hanner; parents, Regina and Eulogio Cata; grandson, Adrian Padilla. Roserita is survived by her sisters: Libby Marcus and Consuelo Whitehouse; daughter-in-law, Maryann Padilla all of San Juan Pueblo; grandchildren: Phyllis Padilla, Natalie Dorme, Carl, Mike and Ira Padilla, Myra Martinez and Paula Padilla; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews & other loving relatives and friends. Rosary will be recited on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with burial to follow at San Juan Pueblo Cemetery.
