Rosarito "Rose" Age - 99 Fresquez Trujillo

Rosarito “Rose” Fresquez Trujillo, 99, born April 3, 1914 in Penasco, NM to Policarpio and Juanita Ortega Fresquez. She passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 after a sudden downturn in her condition while visiting from Midvale, Utah where she lived for 58 years. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel G. Trujillo; sons: Arnold, David and Roy; daughter-in-law, Linda Trujillo; her sister, Aurora; brothers: Samuel, Solomon and Manuel. She leaves behind her children: Lydia (Johnny Vidaurre), Leo (Nora), Donaciano, Benjamin (Mary Ann), Manuel Jr. (Shirley), Henry (Maria); loving brother and sisters: Anselmo Fresquez (Maclovia) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Edumenia (Jose) Martinez of Penasco, Mary Cruz (Ross) – deceased) of San Antonio, Texas; numerous nieces & nephews. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, up to the fifth generation. She was the family matriarch and throughout her life; was a strong, determined, faithful Roman Catholic, regularly praying for those in need. She was faithful and humble in spirit to the end; those that had the chance to benefit from her prayers, advice, wisdom, love and friendship will not soon forget her. Public visitation will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Rose will be transported to Utah where services will also take place. Public visitation will be held on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at St Therese Catholic Church in Midvale, Utah with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church in Midvale, Utah. Rosebud will be laid to rest beside her late husband and near her father at Redwood Memorial Estates in West Jordan, Utah. The family of Rosarito “Rose” Fresquez Trujillo have entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
