Rosario - Age 85 - Chimayo Montoya

ROSARIO MONTOYA, 85, a resident of Chimayo passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012 surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents; Fidencio and Epimenia Martinez; first husband, Jose DeAguero; second husband, Demecio Montoya; sons, Benito DeAguero and Harby DeAguero; daughter, Melanie DeAguero; Grandchildren, Karen DeAguero, Leroy, Joseph "JoJo", Mark and Isaac DeAguero. Mrs. Montoya is survived by her daughter, Mabel DeAguero-Gonzales and husband Norbert of Española; grandchildren, Kimberly Tsoodle and companion Luis, Gabriel Trujillo, Peter DeAguero and wife Sophie and Timmy DeAguero; great-grandchildren, Peter Jr. and Jose DeAguero, Julian DeAguero, Marcos and Brianna DeAguero and Miranda and Timmy DeAguero, Jr; sisters, Angie Mendez and husband John and Isabel Martinez; brother, Manuel Martinez; and numerous other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo with the following serving as pallbearers: Ann and Andy Gutierrez, Fabian Martinez, Adrian Martinez, Julian Martinez, Luis Camacho and Michael Martinez. The family of Rosario Montoya has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
