Rosanna M. Lujan

Rosanna M. Lujan, 79, a resident of Gardena, California and formerly of Chimayo, New Mexico passed away peacefully on April 28, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Moises Lujan, Jr., her parents, Jose Elias and Maria Vasquez, her in-laws, Moises Lujan, Sr. and Magdalena Lujan, her sister, Lourdes Garcia, her sisters-in-law Jeannie M. Vasquez, Corrine Maestas and Maggie Trujillo, her brothers-in-law Bobby Garcia, Levi Martinez and Freddie Maestas, her nieces Norma Jean Vasquez, Eloise Chavez and Joe Maestas. 

Rosanna is survived by her children, Moises E. Lujan, Stephanie Weedman (Dennis) and Melva Lujan.  Her grandchildren, David Lujan, Matthew Lujan and Elisa Lujan; siblings Joe E. Vasquez and Elena Marquez (Gerardo), her sisters-in-law Margaret Martinez, Livina Roybal and Janice Maestas (Larry), and several nieces and nephews.

Rosanna was a beautiful soul with the most radiant smile and infectious sense of laughter.  Her charm and witty sense of humor would always light up the room.  Rosanna was a homemaker and stay at home mother for many years.  Once her children were older, Rosanna ventured to college and earned herself an Associate’s Degree in addition to becoming a licensed cosmetologist.  She later went on to retire from the Los Angeles County Unified School District after 25 years of service.      

Funeral services are as follows:  Public visitation will take place at 12:30 pm on Friday, June 21, 2024, with a recitation of the Rosary at 1:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30 pm at Holy Cross Church with interment to follow at the Santa Cruz Cemetery.

The family of Rosanna M. Lujan invites you to join them at the San Pedro Community Center at 30 County Road 8 in San Pedro for a meal in Rosanna’s honor.
