Rosalina Gomez of El Rancho, 100\r\nRosalina Gomez, our precious mother, went peacefully to be with our Lord surrounded by her family on March 17, 2012. Mrs. Gomez was born to Pedro and Refugio Gonzales on November 15, 1911. Mrs. Gomez was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Tobias Gomez Sr.; sons: Tobias Jr., Edward, Tony; daughters: Velma Gomez, Delores Cutler and granddaughter, Wilma Cutler Bramlet; father, Pedro Gonzales; mother, Refugio Romero; stepfather, Fidel Romero; sisters: Maria Barry and husband Charlie, Aurelia and husband Isauro, Connie and husband Tony; brothers: Aguinaldo, Erminio and Fidel Romero Jr.; Father and mother-in-law, Antonio Simon and Francesquita Gomez; sister-in-law, Feliz Gomez; brothers-in-law: Filemon Gomez, Margarito Gomez, Pedro Gomez and wife Leandra, Ramon Gomez and wife Bernardita. Mrs. Gomez is survived by her daughters: Loyola Gomez of El Rancho, Elizabelle and husband Emilio Martinez of El Rancho, Lorraine and husband Frank Jimenez of Tesuque; daughters-in-law: Mary Lou Gomez of Los Lunas, Frances Gomez of Santa Fe and son-in-law Louis Cutler of Rio Rancho; sisters: Ruth Montoya of Santa Fe, Jean Mead of Las Vegas, Nevada and sisters-in-law Trinnie and Frances Romero. Mrs. Gomez is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 13 great great-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.\r\nA rosary will be recited Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in El Rancho. Mass of the Resurrection will also be celebrated on Thursday, March 22, 2012 immediately following the rosary also to be held at the San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in El Rancho. Burial will be held at the El Rancho Cemetery following the Mass. A reception will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Parish Hall following the burial. Serving as pallbearers for Mrs. Gomez will be her grandsons, Anthony Gomez, Arthur Gomez, Daniel Gomez, Joseph Gomez, Brian Baca and Scott Apgar.\r\nThe family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Ambercare and Hospice, specifically nurse Claudia Duran and to Mrs. Gomez’s granddaughters Rosalynn Gomez-Garay, Tracy Baca, Tanya Valdez and Wendy Apgar for the loving and compassionate care they provided to their grandmother. \r\nIn lieu of flowers the family asks that all donations be made to the American Diabetes Association PO Box 1834 Merrifield Va. 22116-8034 The family of Rosalina Gomez has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley. 505-747-7477
