Rosalia D. Maestas “Mamma Rose”, 75, a resident of Chama passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2012. She was preceded in death by husband, Eliseo; grandson, Antonio Valdivies; mother, Louisa Duran; father, Rosario Duran; brothers: Miguel, Juanito, Rumaldo and Jose Duran. Rosalia is survived by her sister, Mary Montoya and husband Andy of Blanco, NM; brother, Arturo Duran and wife Emma of Ogden, UT; children: Annette Valdivies and husband Jesus, Juan Maestas and wife Beatrice, Josie Maestas and husband Johnny, Connie Valdivieso and husband Idelfonso, Linda Maestas and husband Vicente all of Chama, Evelyn DeJesus and husband Aundre of Dulce, Jessie Maestas and wife Kathy of Texas and Shawn Smith of Denver, CO; grandchildren: Crystal Maestas (Jenn), Desiree Montano (Michael), Marie DeJesus. Aundre DeJesus Jr., Sunny Rose DeJesus, Lydia Valdivieso, Dominique Maestas, Patience, Leon Eliseo Salazar, Patricia Sanchez (Jose), William and Jason Clark; great-grandchildren: Christopher Martinez, Michael and Rosalena Montano, Brooke and Andrea Pacheco, Lile, Amalia and Adan Sanchez; numerous nieces, nephews & other loving relatives & friends. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Chama Worship Center with burial to follow at Chama Community Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family of Rosalia D.
