Rosa Garcia

ROSA T. GARCIA, a resident of Chimayo, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the age of 99 years and 10 months. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ismael, Sr.; children, Gilbert, Sr., Lionel, Elaisa and Josephine Roybal; daughter-in-law, Martha Garcia; son-in-law, Serafin Roybal; and grandchildren, Gilbert, Jr., Calvin, Ernie, Martina and Michael. Mrs. Garcia is survived by her children, Ismael, Jr. (Ruth), Rosita Shoemaker (Clint), Rita McAlister (Bill), Jose, Erma Pearson (Robert), Dolores (Ken); daughter-in-law, Grace Garcia; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Clara Martinez and Getrudez Montoya. Rosa will live in our hearts forever and we will cherish the precious time that we had with her. A rosary will be recited on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Burial to follow at the Nuestra Señora de Dolores Cemetery in Chimayo with the following serving as pallbearers, James Naranjo, Mel, Marcos, Felipe, Steven and Adrian Garcia. The family of Rosa T.
