Ronnie Vigil

RONNIE D. VIGIL, 61, a resident of San Pedro, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016. Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Sam P. Vigil; maternal grandparents, Narciso and Victoriana Serrano; paternal grandparents, Manuel and Carmelita Vigil and many other relatives. He was known by so many people. He was happy and joyful and made friends with everyone. Ronnie retired from Los Alamos National Laboratory and was a volunteer firefighter for many years. He was active with Knights of Columbus of Española and volunteered every Monday night at Bingo. He was very active with the Santa Cruz de la Canada Catholic Parish. He was loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Vigil is survived by his children, April Barela, Jessica Rodriguez and husband Carlos, Marcos and Mario Vigil; grandchildren, Patrick, Samantha and Derrick Barela, Zim, Eleisia and Sienna Vigil; mother, Nora Vigil; mother of his children, Cleo Vigil; brother, Mannie Vigil and wife Cathy; sisters, Pam and JoAnn Vigil and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada, with a burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Patrick, Samantha, Derrick, Zim, Eleisia and Sienna. The family of Ronnie D.
