Ronnie "Brogado" Griego

Ronnie “Brogado” Griego, Age 66, a resident of Velarde, passed peacefully at home on Saturday, September 28, 2024, surrounded by his family. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Lorraine Griego; sister Geraldine Griego. 

Ronnie had a successful career as a Master Barber including owning his own Barber Shop in Santa Fe NM . Ronnie was very well known and liked as a Barber and friend. He made his shop a place where all were welcomed and allowed other barbers a chance of success. He took pride in his work and the clientele that he built up showed it. Ronnie’s outgoing personality made clients want to just go to the shop and hang out. He could strike a conversation with just about anyone, young and old. Everyone was his “primo”. Ronnie loved his children and would often brag of how proud he was of them. He loved riding his Harley and going to bike runs. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. 

Ronnie is survived by his children, Veronica Sanchez (Joseph), Angel Quintana, and Isaac Quintana; mother of his children Diana Quintana grandchildren; Israel Quintana, Ezekiel Quintana, and Louis Sanchez; sister, Frances Griego, brothers Rudy, and Hector Griego. He is also survived by 7 nephews and nieces, 6 great nephews and nieces and many cousins and friends. 

A Devotional Service will be held in his honor on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 11:00 am at DeVargas Funeral Home with a burial to follow at the Apostolic Praise Temple Cemetery in Dixon.
