Ronald Lawrence “Hippie” Quintana, 56, a lifelong resident of El Rancho passed away suddenly due to a lengthy illness on Tuesday, November 20, 2012. He was preceded in death by his mother, Flora Quintana; brother, Danny Quintana; maternal grandparents, Henry and Josefina Gallegos, Atanacio and Bernadita Gallegos; step-grandmother, Carlota Gallegos; paternal grandparents, Daniel and Candida Quintana; close uncle, Joe Amadeo Gallegos; step-son, Dominic John Tso-Olivas; Godfather, Eraquio (Laco) Roybal, may their precious souls rest in peace. Lawrence was self-employed and worked as a mechanic and did paint and body work. He always enjoyed a good game of chess. His hobbies were fishing and hunting with his grandfather Henry, dad and brothers. He is survived by his father, Dan E. Quintana and companion Mary Quintana; sisters: Lorraine (Mike) Tellez, Elaine (Marvin) Baca, Suzie (Ken) Martinez, JoJo (Adolf) Archuleta, Renee (Gabriel) Romero; brother, Joseph Anthony Quintana and companion Brenda Vigil; numerous, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives & friends. Cremation has taken place. Public visitation will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque with burial to follow at El Rancho Cemetery. Serving the family as honorary pallbearers will be: Stephen Baca, Alfred Lujan, Tommy Herrera, Anthony Serna, Arturo Sanchez and Mike Padilla.
