Ronald E. Age - 77 Los Alamos Brown

Ronald E. Brown, 77, a resident of Los Alamos passed away at his home on Monday, March 28, 2011. He was a life member of the Catholic Church, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Washington and his PhD in Physics from Caltech. He was a physics professor at the University of Minnesota for 13 years and then worked at the Los Alamos National Lab for 16 years, retiring in 1993. Ron was a loving husband of 51 years and a devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, movies, sports, trivia, chess and board games. He was preceded in death by his parents: Francis and Margaret Brown; and his brother, Len Brown. Dr. Brown is survived by his wife, Della Brown of Los Alamos; children: Vince Brown of New York, Diana Anderson and husband Greg of Colorado, Ken Brown of Texas and Cindy Brown of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren: Brock and Shanlie Anderson; brother, Rich Brown and wife Sandy; sister, Marilyn Flink and husband Greg. Public visitation will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2011 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Los Alamos. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. also at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Los Alamos with burial to follow at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos with the following serving as pallbearers: Rich Brown, Vince Brown, Ken Brown, Greg Anderson and Brock Anderson.
