Romolo - Age - 66 - Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo De Herrera

Romolo De Herrera – Age 66 a resident of Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo and formally of Chamita died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 19, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents: Alberto and Rosita De Herrera; nephew, Thomas Rodriguez; brother-in-laws, Genaro Rodriguez Sr., Raymond Wheeler Sr.; nieces: Stephanie Padilla and Angelica Baca; parents-in-law: Pasqual and Dominguita Cruz, Juan Reyes and Tomasita Montoya; brother-in-law, Juan Sisneros; and nephew, Alfred Naranjo. The loves of his life were his wife, children and grandchildren then the great outdoors and mother nature was where he found his comfort, solitude and joy. He befriended and knew people from all over. Romolo is survived by his wife, Rosita; sons: Ronald and wife Ruth and Norman and companion Lorraine White; daughter, Monica Pardo and husband Omar of Las Cruces, NM; grandchildren: Michelle, Justin, Gabriel, Gia and Dominic and Kenny; sisters and brothers: Irene Rodriguez and companion Eddie Vigil, Lydia Wheeler, David De Herrera and wife Marie, Pete De Herrea and wife Roberta, Linda A. Chavez and husband Paul, Cordie Herrera and husband Adonaldo, June Galvan and companion Gilbert and Joann DeAguero and husband Arscenio; sister-in-law, Dominiguita Sisneros; and many other nieces, nephews and close relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo, NM. Burial will follow at the Ohkay Owingeh Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Raymond Wheeler, Jr., Genaro Rodriguez, Jr., Leonard De Herrera, Filbert DeAguero, Antonio Galvan and Adam Herrera.
