Roger T. Apodaca, Jr, 55, a resident of Taos, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 4, 2018. He was born in Las Vegas, NM on November 16, 1962. He was an avid hunter, and fisherman and loved the outdoors and spending time with his friends. He didn't have any children of his own but loved all kids like they were his own. Roger was preceded in death by his sister, Carla Martinez and uncle, Joe L. Gonzales. Roger is survived by his mother, Dolores Apodaca; father, Roger T. Apodaca, Sr.; sisters, Nancy Baca (Tony), Rose Marie Apodaca, Amy Olonia (David); brother, Raul Apodaca (Carla) brother-in-law, Michael Martinez; nieces and nephews, Gina, Jennifer (Lalo), Francisco (Alexa), Eric (Tina), Desiree (Jose), Raulie, Aryana and Isabella; 13 great-nieces and nephews along with other numerous relatives and friends. He was also a proud God-father to Dominic Miera and Angelie Vigil. Roger was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Taos. Burial to follow at the Dolores Cemetery behind Allsup's. The family of Roger T. Apodaca has entrusted the care of their loved one to the caring staff of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
