Rodney - age 46 - Cordova Romero

RODNEY R. ROMERO, 46, a resident of Cordova passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carpio M. Romero and Carmelita V. Romero; sister, Arabella Martinez and husband Pedro Abel Martinez; brothers, Barney, Tobias and Bobby Romero; sister, Edna Dominguez; nephews, David, Toby Jr., Mark Romero and Johnny and Ronnie Martinez. Rodney’s greatest love was his family, camping, and spending time with his young nephews and nieces because he really loved kids he also enjoyed his time with his girlfriend Amy Chavez, and Filiberto Martinez. He was such a helpful individual and would help anyone in need he had a great sense of humor. He loved spending time with his with friends and was a wonderful person with a big heart. He will be greatly missed by all who really knew him. Mr. Romero is survived by his companion, Amy Chavez of Cordova; brothers, Severiano Romero and wife Nelda of La Mesilla and Ricky Romero and wife Debra of Truchas; sister, Janet Lopez and husband Eddie of Española; sisters-in–law, Gloria Romero of Chimayo and Vivian Romero of Ojo Sarco; brother-in-law, Dickie Dominquez of Chamisal; his father-figure, Filiberto Martinez of Cordova; nieces and nephews; Dora Trujillo, Cindy Wade, Lisa Gonzales, Margaret Lopez, Sarita Trujillo, Andrea Martinez, Richard Dominguez, Fernando Romero, and Holly Jaramillo; and other relatives and friends, Julian, Lorraine and Leigh Sandoval, Alexandra Chavez all of Cordova. Public visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Lighthouse Church in Chimayo with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m. The family of Rodney R. Romero has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
