ROBERTO VILLAREAL “BIA/BOBE”, 72, a resident of San Juan, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eutilla Villareal; brothers-in-law, Martin Martinez and Bobby R. Vigil; nephews, Mike Martinez and Pete Chavez. Roberto was known in his community as being a wonderful farmer and Gardner, he enjoyed very much working with animals especially his horse Pinto. He enjoyed all outdoor sports and was a participant of the Special Olympics and loved to dance. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Roberto is survived by his sisters, Julia Martinez, Elvira Mendez and husband Ralph, Theresa Vigil, Susie Rascon and husband Gonzalo; special niece, Angela Vigil; Goddaughter, Velma Gonzalez, special friend, Helen Romero, and many other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. A Public visitation will begin on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh, with a burial to follow at the Alcalde Cemetery Cemetery. Honorary pallbearer will be Antonio Chavez.
