Roberto Rios

ROBERTO F. RIOS, 79, a resident of Pojoaque, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, August 20, 2015. Roberto was preceded in death by his mother, Romona, father, Jesus; brother, Polo; sisters, Eva and Sophie; and his son Danny; grandchildren, Jesus, Jazelle, and Alisha. Roberto was born August 28, 1935. He loved his family and he enjoyed golfing, boxing, and working on his yard. Roberto is survived by his wife Frances; children, Eddie and wife Lucy, Victor and wife Beverly, Jessie and wife Cherie; daughter-in-law, Eileen; grandchildren, Eddie, Elena, Jason, Miranda (Matt Hansen), Josh, Daniel, Melony (Abraham Kosgei), Robert, and Catalina, 15 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews in New Mexico, California, and Arizona; siblings, Ruben, Lori, Raul, and Dee Rios, Emma Savala, Joe and Rosie Fierro. Roberto will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Crito Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque, with a burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
