Robert Matthew (White Mountain) Sanchez Jr. was born December 19, 2002 and passed away on July 1, 2011. Robert’s past times included various sports, having family gatherings, playing outdoors with all his cousins and friends participating in his Native American Heritage. Eating at all the local restaurants. Most importantly, attending his Sunday Masses and praying the rosary and sharing a little bit of his heart with everyone he met. Robert will always be an inspiration to all of us. Thank you to all the community who supported him with your thoughts and prayers. Robert was preceded in death by; Grandma Deluvina Sanchez, Great Grandma; Elosia Maes and Great-grandpa: Alfredo Maes. He is survived by his parents; Robert and Melissa (Blueflower) Sanchez and brother; Joshua Sanchez of Alcalde. Maternal Grandparents; Wayne and Diana Tafoya of Santa Clara Pueblo. Paternal Grandfather; Louis Sanchez of Alcalde. Just like grandparents; Alfred and Annie Maes. Aunts and uncles; Harold and Kathy Sanchez, David, Joseph and Lawrence Sanchez, Louise Sanchez, Matilda Martinez and Eric and Marie Salazar all of Alcalde and Everette and Crystal Espinosa of Santa Clara Pueblo and Andrea Tafoya and companion Eric Ortiz of Santa Clara Pueblo. Favorite cousin and best friend; Katelynn Tafoya, all his McCurdy School Family, many numerous great aunts and uncles & cousins and relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo with the Holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with interment to follow at the La Villita Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Joseph, Lawrence, David and Harold Sanchez, Everette Espinosa, Eric Ortiz, Carlos Martinez and David Sanchez Jr. The family of Robert Matthew (White Mountain) Sanchez Jr. has entrusted the care of their much loved Robert to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley 505-747-7477 toll free 1-877-747-3600
