Robert Joseph Age - 37 - Española Purdy

Robert Joseph Purdy, 37, a resident of Española went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Robert was born in Albuquerque on March 5, 1975. Robert attended Northern New Mexico College and later served in the United States Army where he earned his wings in the Special Forces division as a paratrooper and was later stationed at the U.S. 82nd Airborne Infantry in North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jose Danue Bustos and Maria Elena Bustos from Cebolla, NM. He is survived by his mother, Norma J. Purdy; step-father, Michael C. Purdy; his sons: Jack Purdy, Daniel Purdy and Lanz Sanchez; his sisters: Margie Chavez and husband Steve, Christine Gonzales; brothers: Michael Purdy and wife Geraldine, Norman Purdy and wife Darla; nephews/nieces: Alicia, April, Ashley, Joshua, Jessica, Cassandra, Michael, Shaun, Brian, Beth, Chelsea and Cory; numerous other loving uncles, aunts, cousins and relatives. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at The Rock Christian Fellowship Church in Española.
