Robert A. Age- 33 El Guique Montoya

ROBERT A. MONTOYA, a resident of El Guique, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 9, 2010. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mike Montoya; grandmother, Maria Adela Casados; cousin, Keith Alarid; like brothers, Gilbert Martinez and Julian Gonzales. Robert was an exceptional mechanic, electrician, carpenter, plumber, tile setter and cook. He would help his family and friends with whatever he could. Robert can be remembered as a loving father, brother, son and friend. Mr. Montoya is survived by his daughters, Anisha Montoya of Santa Cruz and Anika Montoya of La Mesilla; step-sons, Louie, Josh and Owen Herrera all of La Mesilla; fiance, Lucia Herrera of La Mesilla; mother, Angela Schrandt and husband John of El Guique; father, Robert M. Montoya of Nambe; sisters, Anna Fuller of Las Vegas and Elena Fuller of El Guique; grandfather, Jose Herminio Casados of El Guique; grandmother, Flora Montoya of San Pedro and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial to follow at the El Guique Catholic Cemetery.
