Robert D. Sandoval, 60, a resident of Ranchitos passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Damian and Frances Sandoval; parents in-law, Ernesto and Virginia Jaramillo; grandparents, Israel and Cordilia Sandoval, and Magdalena Dominguez; uncles, Onivas and Ruben Sandoval, Paul and Roy Dominguez; brother-in-law, Clifford Jaramillo; nephews, Alfred and James Jaramillo and niece, Raychael Osborne. Robert was an amazing, loving husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He had a heart of gold. His family meant the world to him and he always made sure they were all well taken care of. He had a personality like no other, always friendly, smiling, laughing and joking around.  He was well known for his great sense of humor. Robert was loved and respected by all, a beautiful soul whom everyone will miss greatly. His smile and laughter will forever dwell within the hearts of the lives he touched, and his radiance will now adorn the walls of his heavenly home. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Jaramillo; children, Robert Jr. and wife Isabel, Sherrie, and Adrian Sandoval; nephews raised as sons, Manuel and Michael Sandoval and Isaac Saco Padilla; two sisters; special uncle whom was like a father, Zebedeo and wife Bertha Sandoval; close cousin whom was like a mother, Cidelia Lopez, special madrina, Rosina Trujillo; in-laws, Jose and wife Lupita, Thomas and wife Dolores,  Freddie and wife Rose Jaramillo, Louisa and husband Daniel Pacheco, Carlota and husband Harry Martinez,  Debra and husband Anthony Wheeler,  Nieves and husband Norris Velasquez,  Patricia and late husband Clifford Jaramillo; aunts, Olivama and Elaine Sandoval, Benina Martinez; uncles, Danny and wife Yvonne Sandoval-Tidwell, Pete Sandoval and wife Nancy, Henry Sandoval and Wife Joyce; the Dominguez family; close friend, Louise Vigil, and numerous relatives and friends whom he loved dearly. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz. Burial will follow at the San Antonio de Padua Catholic Cemetery in Cordova. Serving the family as pallbearers are Norris Velasquez, Tony Padilla, Benino Martinez, Michael Trujillo, Bobby and Matias Chacon, Armando Jaramillo, Lukus Archibeque, and Rick Chavez.  Honorary pallbearers are, Jose Martinez, Isaac Romero, Eugene Jaramillo, Troy Montoya, Leroy Jaramillo, Kenny Romero, Stanley Trujillo; God-children: Manuel Sandoval, Isaac Saco Padilla, Michael Sandoval, Dwight Jaramillo, Camila DeVargas, Joshua Cordova and all Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends. The family of Robert D. Sandoval has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
