Robert Lopez

Robert W. Lopez, 60, a resident of Nambe, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015. Robert was born on April 2, 1955 and lived in Nambe, his entire life. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Praxedes and Otilia Lopez; brothers, Joseph and Manuel Lopez; nephews, Vincent Lopez Jr. and Steven Lopez Jr. He was an accomplished drummer and had a great passion for rock music from the 60s and 70s. He is survived by his daughter, Juanita McNiel (Michael), three granddaughters, Natasha, Chantel, and Tianna Perkins, his siblings, Gilbert Lopez (Jane), Vivian Ortiz, Vincent Lopez, Steven Lopez (Belinda), Michael Gordon (Marcella), Frances Gastelum (David); sister-in-law, Anita Lopez; aunt, Rafelita Cline; cousins, Lonnie Martinez and Frank Lopez, and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A private Ceremony will be held at a later date to scatter Roberts’s ashes. The family of Robert W. Lopez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
