Robert (Bobby) Lucero went home to be with His Lord Jesus Christ, on Monday, February 1, 2021. Bobby was born on January 4, 1959 in Hawthorne, CA. He currently resided In La Mesilla, NM. He was the fourth of five siblings. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Amadeo Lucero, Sr. (Author of the State Song - “Asi es Nuevo Mexico) and Francisquita Miera Lucero. His maternal grandparents, Perfecto Maes (past State Representative) and Frutosa Maes. Father, Paul Lucero, Mother, Geneva Lucero, Brother, Danny Lucero, Sister, Frances Lucero.
Bobby is survived by his sister, Sue Rabener(Lee) of La Mesilla, NM, brother, Alan Lucero, Lomita, CA, sister, Myra Bauerband (Scott), Monroe, NY. Nieces and Nephews, Jeff Rabener La Mesilla, NM, Crystal Lucero-Trujillo (Enrique) Espanola, NM, Steven (Marisela) Lomita, CA, great niece, Penelope Lucero, Lomita, CA. There are many other relatives.
Bobby was a generous, loving, kind person. He loved helping anyone in need. He loved to go fishing, but his main love, was reading his Bible. Bobby had a great sense of humor. He dearly loved his friends and family,
Bobby is already missed, dearly. He taught his family to love, and to forgive. He walked in the most “unconditional’ love that I have ever witnessed. He was my best friend.
Public visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 10AM - 5PM. Private burial services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 in Santa Fe, NM.
