ROBERT “BOBBY” GONZALES, 44, a resident of Llano, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2011 following a brief illness. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Evelyn Gonzales; brothers, Victor and Praxedes Gonzales; maternal grandmother, Alice M. Lopez; paternal grandparents, Juan and Eulogia Gonzales; aunt, Debbie A. Romero; uncle, Dennis Gonzales; cousin, Elaine Martinez and God-parents, Willy and Lydia Sanchez. Bobby was born to Robert and Mary Evelyn Gonzales on July 19, 1967. He was a very loving, outgoing person who attracted everyone. He had a love for mechanics and could fix almost anything. He enjoyed being with family and friends and loved everyone’s company. He had a love for children as well. Mr. Gonzales is survived by his sisters, Virginia ‘Gina” Gonzales of CO, Darlene Gonzales and husband Ronald; brother, Jason Gonzales and companion Heather; nephews, Bryan, Tony and Praxedes; nieces, Katrina; niece/God-daughter, Moniqua and twins on the way; great-nephew, Jahir; grandfather, Nicanor Lopez of CO; children he raised, Christy and Damian Martinez; uncle who raised him and called him “Jimmy”, Anival Gonzales; close cousins, Frankie Lopez of Chamisal and Jonathan Montoya of Los Luceros and Allison Garcia who called him, ‘Dobby” and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at the San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco. Burial to follow at the Llano Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Frankie Lopez, Ronald Martinez, Roy Brown, Ivan Aguilar, Juan Rodarte, Jaime Trujillo, Jonathan Montoya and David Lopez. Honorary pallbearers named are his nieces and nephews and Rosalie and Anna Marie Montoya. The family of Robert “Bobby” Gonzales has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
