Robert - Age 31 - Alcalde Martinez, Jr.

Robert Martinez Jr. 31 a resident of Alcalde passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday June 22, 2010. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents Frank and Abundia Martinez, Maternal Grandparents Frank and Charlene Gomez, Step Grandfather Rafael Maes. Robert also known as “Silent Rob” to all his friends and family had a great love for fishing and golfing. He also enjoyed watching sports with his friends and family especially his beloved San Fransisco 49ers and Chicago bulls. Robert is survived by his Parents: Father Robert Martinez Sr. and wife Ruby of Espanola, Mother Pamela Gordon and husband Bruce of Yerinton Nevada; fiancé, Layla Yanez, her parents Juan and Carmen Sandoval and brother Ernest Yanez. Brother Eric Martinez and sister Monica Martinez of Yerington, NV, Step-brothers Jeff and wife Marsha Vigil and Marty and wife Marcy Vigil all of Espanola. Step Grandmother Margaret Maes. A close friend and golfing buddy Patrick. Numerous Aunts and Uncles, Nephews and Nieces and many other loving relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Serving as pallbearers will be: Jeff Vigil, Marty Vigil, Ernest Yanez, Patrick Salazar, Duane Sena, Rainbird Taylor and Oliver Torrez. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Eric Martinez, Carlos Hurtado, Marcos Vigil and Brandon Vigil.
