R. Michael Age -62 Los Alamos Trujillo

R. Michael Trujillo was born in Espanola, New Mexico on December 18, 1948 and passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011 in Santa Fe, New Mexico after a short illness. Michael was a longtime resident of Los Alamos, New Mexico and had recently retired from the Los Alamos National Laboratory. He earned both a B.S. from New Mexico State University and a Masters from the New Mexico School of Banking, and enjoyed a long career in banking and finance. Michael served his country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1973.\r\n His wife of 34 years, Kathleen Fitzgibbon Trujillo; his two sons, Robert and Brian; his parents, Epifanio and Rebecca Trujillo; brothers, Eppie and his wife Eileen, and Tom; three nieces and four great-nieces survive Michael. His brother, Gilbert, preceded Michael in death.\r\n Michael served on the Board of Directors of Del Norte Credit Union. He enjoyed fishing in many of Northern New Mexico’s lakes and streams and spent many days through the years working on the family ranch. Anytime a family member needed a strong back, Michael was there.\r\nServices for Michael will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Los Alamos, NM. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 12 at 7:00 pm. On Friday, May 13, a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am, also at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.\r\n The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the charity of your choice.
