Rico Mendonca

RICO JUAN LUCAS MENDONCA was born in Santa Fe, on October 27, 1981 and went unexpectedly to be with our Lord on Monday, October 26, 2020 at the age of 38.  Rico was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lucas and Andrellita Jaramillo and Juan and Eulalia Mendonca. Rico was a proud Foreman Journey Man Lineman that worked at Jemez Coop for 18 years. When he was not restoring power you could find him up in the mountains. His passion was hunting and the great outdoors where he found he was closest to God. Rico leaves behind his beloved wife Desiree Mendonca and his precious daughters Brianna, Jazmine and Haley Grace; his parents, David and Elaine Mendonca; twin sister, Audrey and husband Jerome Trujillo, Beverly and husband Richard Marquez, older brother, Francisco Mendonca and wife Jennie; cousin LyAnne Vigil who he called his little sister and husband Benny; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Monte and Bonnie Miranda; sister-in-law, Michelle Miranda (Stephen Winston), brother-in-law, Mario Miranda; nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and many, many friends that he loved and cherished. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a Celebration of life to follow at 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Victory Faith Church in Espanola (Next to R&E Glass), with a burial to follow at the Vallecitos Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are Mario Miranda, Jerome Trujillo, Francisco Mendonca, Joshua Trujillo, Richard Marquez, Bobby Lovato, Adam Trujillo, Benny Vigil and Horacio Garcia.
