Ricky L. "Swayze" - Age 36 - La Vil Martinez

Ricky L. “Swayze” Martinez – Age 36 a resident of La Villita passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012 unexpectedly. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Bernardo and Victoria Sisneros; paternal grandparents: Feliberto and Bernie Martinez; father, Richard Martinez. He is survived by his mother, Cora Martinez of Alcalde; sister, Crystal Trujillo and husband Anthony; brothers: Eric Martinez and companion Diane Garcia and Ben Martinez; niece, Lauren Trujillo; Godson, Daniel Leyba; and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 6:00p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 10:00a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alcalde, with burial to follow at La Villita Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be: James Sisneros, Brian Martinez, Alex Leyba, Phillip Garcia, Urban Martinez and Dickie Gallegos. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Victor Vargas, Miguel Sanchez and Eddie Romero. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Del Norte Credit Union to assist the family with funeral expenses. The family of Ricky L. “Swayze” has entrusted the care of their beloved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
