Rick Dominguez, 42, a resident of Peñasco passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2103. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pilar Dominguez; grandfather, Andronico Roybal; cousins: Emery Lujan, Eileen Gonzales and Andronica Gonzales. Rick was a Veteran of the United States Army National Guard. Rick had a passion for fishing, hunting and motorcycle riding. He was a devoted father to his two sons, and a devoted husband to his wife, Faith. He was a Volunteer Fire Fighter for the Peñasco Volunteer Fire Department. Rick is survived by his wife, Faith Dominguez; sons: Rick Corey and Jonathan; parents: Virginia Lopez (Phillip) and Silas Dominguez (Betty); mother-in-law, Margie Sandoval; father-in-law, Joe Mike Duran; sisters: Sandra Vigil (Clarence), Eva Lopez (Yvonne); brothers: Jim Lopez (Teresina), Tim Lopez (Yvonne); sister-in-law, Iris Sandoval; brother-in-law, Matthew Sandoval (Melissa); close relatives: Patrick and Yolanda Medina, Aaron Dominguez; 15 nieces/nephews; 12 great-nieces/nephews; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins from the Dominguez, Roybal and Sandoval family. Public visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco with burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with the following serving the family as pallbearers: Tim Lopez, Jim Lopez, Matthew Sandoval, Clarence Vigil, Aaron Dominguez, Patrick Medina, Rick Corey and Jonathan Dominguez. The family of Rick Dominguez have entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
