Rick Ortiz

RICK J. ORTIZ, 29, a resident of Nambe, passed away of a unexpected sudden illness on Thursday, January 7, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Waldo Ortiz Jr.; grandmother, Martha Ortiz; uncles, Ramon Ortiz, Freddie Salazar, and Matthew Roybal, aunt, Marlene Roybal; grandfather, Addie Roybal. Rick will be remembered as a caring, devoted and loving father. Rick enjoyed taking his kids for walks, camping, and playing Xbox games. He will be greatly missed and will forever live in our hearts. Rick is survived by his loving mother, Michelle Roybal; brothers, Cory and  Andrew Hickerson, sisters, Camille, and Amy Hickerson; grandmother, Angie Roybal, grandfather, Waldo Ortiz Sr.; his loving children, Lorenzo, Gabriel, and Jeremiah; mother of his children,  Rosa Quintana; aunt, Diana Davis, uncle, Dickie Ortiz and many other family and friends. A rosary will be recited on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe, with a Memorial mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Nambe.
