Richard (Rick) Shaw

Richard (Rick) H. Shaw, born on November 12, 1942, of Alcalde, NM, was called home to be with the Lord on May 17, 2024. 

Rick was preceded in death by his father and mother, Brad and Barbara Shaw; his brother Mark Shaw; his father-in-law Richard Valdez; and his grandchildren Ricky and Reyna Martinez, and Feona Kraut. 
     

Rick is survived by his beloved wife Geraldine Shaw; his daughter Debra Kraut (Les); his stepdaughters Jennifer and Jayme Hill, and Raylyne (Josh) Quintana; his grandchildren Jessica, Mina, Ricky, David, Kaiden, Joshy, and Krizalena; his mother-in-law Angie Valdez; sisters-in-law Belinda and Louise (Lawrence);  stepbrother Fernando Maresma; Mario Martinez, who he considered as a son; his best friend Raymond Martinez; his right hand man and confidant David Lujan; and many nieces and nephews. 

Rick served as a marine in the military, and then went to work at the Los Alamos National Laboratory as an auditor, while completing his degree in Electrical Engineering. Rick was currently retired and enjoyed road trips, geocaching, and wood carving. 

Rick’s family would like to thank Father Brennan; The Roots Program owned by Tom and Jared; his nurses, Janet Vigil, Inez Bolivar, Grant French, Gilbert Lovato, and a special thanks to David Lujan; his HHAs, Nancy Santana and Maria Elena Salazar.   

Services are pending at this time and will be posted as soon as they become available. 

Serving as Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren Mario, David, Ricky, Jessica, Mina, Kaiden, Joshy, and Krizalena.
