RICHARD G. MARTINEZ, 63, a resident of El Guique, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Maclovio and Monica Martinez; brothers, Ernest and Felix Martinez; sister-in-law, Debbie Martinez. Richard was known by those who knew him, as a person who loved his family dearly especially his grandchildren. Richard loved to fish, hunt, dance and sing. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Richard is survived by his wife, Cleo Martinez; sons, Vincent Lueras, Richard A. Martinez, daughter, Melissa Martinez; grandson, Dominic Martinez, granddaughters, Sabrina and Krystiana Borrego, Melissa M. Lopez; in-laws who were like his parents, Joe and Polly Martinez; brothers and sisters, Danny Martinez and wife Judy, Tony Martinez and wife Jeanette, Erlinda Ramirez and husband Jessie, Fela Naranjo and husband Carl, Oralia Dominguez, Marcy Martinez, Angela Ulibarri; sister-in-law, Agnes Martinez; best friend/brother, Michael Chavez, and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Public visitation will begin on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh.
