Richard Gonzales

RICHARD (IVAN) GONZALES, 29, a resident of Ojo Caliente, passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 13, 2015. He was preceded in death by his brother, David “Lalo” Gonzales. Ivan will be missed dearly as his smile, kindness and love for life and adventure touched the hearts of many. He was continually working on being the best father, son, brother and uncle he could be. He loved the Lord and really embraced his faith and native beliefs to guide his path. It is with heavy hearts that we lay Ivan to rest, until we meet again.  Mr. Gonzales is survived by his children, Karma, Natalie and Aaron “Lalo” Gonzales; mother, Christina Gutierrez of Albuquerque; father, David Gonzales of Chamita; girlfriend, Christina Chacon of Nambe Pueblo; siblings, Michelle and Mary Gutierrez, Elijah, Davida, Sheila, Virgina, Martin and Sabrina Gonzales; nieces, Aaliyah Castillo, Arissa Sewell and Sophia Medina grandparents, George and Persingula Gonzales; best friend and roommate, Jen Kilburn and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at La Igleisa de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated immediately after at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Santa Cruz. The family would like to thank all the family members and friends near and far. Ivan loved his family. The family of Richard (Ivan) Gonzales has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
