Richard - Age 50 - Ohkay Owingeh - Sanchez, Jr.

RICHARD SANCHEZ, JR. “BOOM BOOM”, 50, a resident of Ohkay Owingeh, passed away to be with our Lord in Monday, May 13, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Sanchez and grandmother, Esther Martinez. Richard was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Sanchez is survived by his parents, Richard and Marie Sanchez; sons, Aaron Sanchez and companion Darla Povijua and Patrick Sanchez; sister, Rosie Riddick and husband Charlie; brothers, Kenneth and Noel “Woto” Sanchez; grandchildren, Malakai, Nathaniel and Aaron Sanchez and numerous aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. A rosary will recited on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the family residence in Ohkay Owingeh. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at the Ohkay Owingeh Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Allan Cata, Brian Montoya, Jeremiah Sanchez, Eli Garcia, Robert Medina, Arnold Trujillo and Ken Sanchez, Jr. The family of Richard Sanchez, Jr. “Boom Boom” has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
