Reshawn S. Hernandez Monia, 17, a resident of Chamita, born January 6, 1997 passed away of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. Reshawn was preceded in death by his father, Isaac C. Hernandez; paternal grandfather, Fernando Hernandez Sr., maternal grandfather, Nelson Monia; uncles, Raymond and Tommy Martinez; cousin, Juan Martinez. Reshawn enjoyed rapping, skate boarding, listening to music, hanging out with his best friends Jimmy, Brandon, Freddie, Julian, and Marcos. He is survived by his maternal grandmother who raised him Dora Martinez; mother, Leticia Monia; sisters, Gracelyn Monia, Larissa and Desiree Wheeler, Mariyah and Jazmyn Hernandez; the love of his life, Brittany Martinez; godparents, Jake Villarreal and Vangie Vigil; paternal grandmother Loretta B. Garcia; aunties and uncles, Melissa Sullivan and husband Ryan, Febye Sena and husband Ernesto, Victoria Garcia and companion Jerome Rivera, Leonard Garcia and companion Alexandra Tafoya, Ernestine Garcia and companion Frank Pacheco, Reyna Garcia and companion Jose Hernandez, Gary Orozco, Priscilla, Joseph, Lucio, and Fernando Jr. Hernandez, Anna Gomez and husband Miguel, Maria Vega and husband Jamie, Christina, Lorne and husband Billy, and many other cousins, relatives, and friends. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a memorial service to begin at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel in Arroyo Seco.
